Mission
To give honor to Jesus Christ by providing accessible, comprehensive health care in partnership with our patients and community leading to healthy, changed lives.
Key Guiding Scriptures
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:16-17
Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?" The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25: 37-40

Key Practices to Implement the Ministry’s Mission & Key Guiding Principles and Values
Practices With and For Our Patients
Practices Among Our Team (Team = Providers, Staff, Management and Board)
Practices: Who Does What
Practices With and For Our Patients
- We attend to patients by practicing and showing compassion and empathy.
- We pray with and for our patients, with respect, permission and confidentiality.
- We invite our patients to share needs beyond medical care, including emotional, spiritual, family, housing, food, and other needs so we may pray for and assist in meeting those needs.
- We invite our patients to meet with our chaplains for prayer and spiritual care, as needed.
- We encourage spiritual growth of our patients, including providing Bibles, children’s bible stories, Biblical devotions, and information on local churches to our patients.
- Patients’ faith, if shared with us, is entered into the spiritual assessment part of the confidential medical record. We show respect for patient’s faith choices.
Practices Among Our Team (Team = Providers, Staff, Management and Board)
- We pray and care for each other, asking Jesus to guide and help us in our work. We support one another through difficult times in our lives.
- We begin our meetings with prayer recognizing God’s primacy.
- We offer Team members opportunities and resources for individual and Team spiritual growth such as chaplain care, Bible studies and other resources.
- We focus on spiritual growth through regular site prayer groups, sharing God stories with each other, and the work of our Spiritual Care Committee.
- We show respect for each other’s stages of our individual faith journeys.
- We join with other Christian health centers to fellowship, learn and grow.
- We celebrate our faith by honoring Christian holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Good Friday and posting Bible verses in our workplaces.
Practices: Who Does What
- Providers, Management and the Board actively believe in and follow Jesus Christ.
- All of our Team support and encourage the Mission, Key Scriptures, Guiding Principles and Values, and Key Practices listed above.
- Each of us can choose to be part of the "With and For Our Patients" Practices, but Providers, Management and the Board are expected to actively live out the "With and For Our Patients" Practices as part of their service to God at Crossroad.
- All of us will encourage each other to grow in our "Among Our Team" Practices, recognizing the roles of leading and supporting, according to individual’s gifts and the task at hand.
