Tender Loving Care (TLC) Campaign
Campaign Goal: $1.45 million to purchase and renovate the building that Crossroad currently occupies at the corner of Liberty and Vine Streets
Through this capital campaign, Crossroad purchased the building and renovated the much needed space on the third floor, expanding primary and mental healthcare capacity. Ownership of the building eliminates rent payments, provides an opportunity to generate revenue from other tenants and foster s financial stability for the health center.
TLC Campaign Highlights
Spring 2005
- Updated exterior facade complete with "Crossroad Health Center" signage
- Installed new parking lot fence
- Re-graded parking lot allowing more accessibility
- Replaced front door in order to provide a more welcoming and
secure entrance
September 2005
- Opened ProScan Pink Ribbon Center for Mammograms with
funding from the Cris Collinsworth Proscan Foundation, Anthony Munoz Foundation and The Marvin Lewis Community Fund
November 2005
- Publicly launched TLC Campaign at a prayer breakfast emceed by Anthony Munoz, with keynote speaker Dr. Jerry Kirk
June 2006
July 1, 2006
- Amount raised 70% of the goal, totalling $1,013,793
January 2007
- Pharmacy Over the Rhine opens (the first non-profit pharmacy
in the U.S.)
July 2007
- Amount raised 85% of the goal, totaling $1,237,707
January 2008
- 3rd floor construction begins. The 3rd floor atrium is filled in,
exam rooms are built, drywall, electricity, plumbing and 3 skylights are added.
April 2009
- Crossroad's medical services are moved from the second floor
to the new state of the art facility on the third floor. Pre-natal care and diabetes education continue to be located on the second floor along with some administrative offices.
