    This is an unpaid position, but a wonderful opportunity to see faith and medicine at work in an underserved community. You may be able to receive grant funding or class credit through your university.

    Please provide one professional reference.

    This is an individual who has overseen you in a professional setting, such as an advisor, supervisor, professor, or employer. Do not include a relative or friend. We may reach out to your reference if we have any questions while reviewing your application.

    Please provide one peer reference.

     This should be a peer who you have worked with or under in a professional or extracurricular or academic setting. Examples include a leader of a student organization, partner in a group project, or fellow student in a research lab. Do not include a relative. We may reach out to your reference if we have any questions while reviewing your application.

    Supplemental Materials

    The supplemental materials include three components: 
    1. Essay #1: What are you hoping to learn from the CVIP program, and how will you apply what you learn? 250 words maximum, single-spaced.
    2. Essay #2: Think of a time where you were part of a community. How did you contribute? How did it change/affect you? 250 word maximum, single-spaced.
    3. Professional Resume: 2 page maximum.​
